In addition to the Marcrest Bale Baron we also sell leading brands including McHale machinery, Solis Tractors and are UK importers for the Speedy Grease system, which you can find on our eCommerce site.

Bale Baron UK is a family business run by brothers Nicholas and Jonathan Scrase. The company started trading in 2010 after they identified a market for a reliable small bale packer. With the support of Nick Waymark and Gordan Smith (Sid) as technicians, the company has expanded rapidly selling more than forty machines in the first five years.

The first few years saw us concentrating on small bales, specifically the Bale Baron. We have since expanded into other fields, such as Agreto moisture meters, Harvest Tec range of acid applicators from Profitable Farming Company and Inagra small bale wrappers. Then in 2015 we added the full range of Mchale mowers, balers, rakes and wrappers.

In 2017 we branched into compact tractors taking on the Solis tractor dealership for Sussex, Surrey and Kent. Which has its own dedicated salesman in Philip Gaze. 

With over eighty Bale Barons in the UK and an expanding range of machinery on offer further support was needed, leading to local independent agricultural engineer Ian Crouch taking on the role as our dedicated McHale and Solis technician.This has allowed Sid and Nick to concentrate on the Bale Barons and balers, with the help of K J Brown who joined us as our north of England technician. We pride ourselves in being able to offer a full ongoing backup service with every machine we sell.

For our tenth anniversary we had the exciting launch of the all new 5250 Bale Baron and the further development of the new high speed inline baler, which was first previewed last year. 

Most recently we have become the UK distributor for the German company Duvelsdorf and their wide range of grassland maintenance equipment. Adding this professional grassland management equipment to our product range allows us to provide a complete solution from seeding all the way through to harvest.
