Orbital
Orbital High Speed Twin Dispenser Round Bale Wrapper
The McHale Orbital high-speed round bale wrapper harnesses the proven vertical wrapping ring technology used in the McHale Fusion such as the patented high-speed transfer system and the patented tip roller to deliver a high-output, low-maintenance wrapper which is capable of keeping up with multiple balers.
These patents ensure high output and superior levels of forage quality are achieved.
The McHale Orbital is a high-speed round bale wrapper which delivers an even and consistent overlap and achieves optimum levels of fodder preservation and quality.
Built To Last
High-Speed Vertical Wrapping Ring
Once the bale is loaded onto the bale wrapper, the high-speed vertical wrapping ring can apply four layers of film to a 1.25m (4′) bale in approximately 18 seconds or six layers of film in under 25 seconds.

Wrapping Ring Features
Two 750mm Dispensers
The vertical wrapping ring has two 750mm dispensers, which take approximately 18 seconds to apply 4 layers of film and 24 seconds to apply six layers of film to a 1.25m (4′) bale.
Film Break Sensors
The automatic film break sensors monitor the film as it wraps and notifies the operator if a roll breaks or runs out.
Reliable Cut and Hold
The hydraulically operated cut and hold system, cuts and holds the film in position, ready to wrap
the next bale.
Easy Film Loading
Both dispensers are easily loaded from the left side of the machine. When the first roll is loaded, an index button rotates the second dispenser around to the same location on the machine.
High-Speed Transfer System
As the lift arm moves the bale onto the wrapping platform, the front roller pivots down to reduce the height the bale has to travel to the wrapping position. This design allows the bale to transition in a smooth and quick manner that is stress-free on the machine. The lift arm also has the ability to carry a bale while another is being wrapped, delivering higher output.
Tip Roller
Heavy-Duty Lift Arm
The heavy-duty lift arm also has the ability to carry a bale while another bale is being wrapped, delivering higher output.
Cut & Hold System
At the end of the wrapping cycle, the hydraulically operated cut & hold system cuts and holds the film in position ready to wrap the next bale. Uniquely designed, this system works reliably and consistently in all weather conditions. The plastic is gathered to one point, cut and then pulled against the side of the bale so that tails are minimised.
Automatic Film Break Sensors
Easy Film Loading
Extra Film Storage with Easy Handling
The McHale Orbital can carry 8 rolls of film:
2 rolls in the dispensers + 6 spare rolls in film storage
Control Options
The Expert Plus control console provides clear indicators of machine performance on it’s large graphic display and with the load sensing valve, makes the high-speed wrapping operation fully automatic.
From the control console the operator can adjust the number of wrap layers, bale diameter and select manual or automatic bale tip. The control console features film break sensing and can also record a number of bale totals for different jobs.
Bale Tip/ Side Tip (Optional)
When tipping off the bale, the rear wrapping roller moves downwards to gently place the tightly wrapped bale on the ground.
With the optional side tip, the bale can be rotated through 90° and placed on its end, thereby reducing stalk damage from crops such as Alfalfa.
